The Boxer Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving the New England area. Our group is made up of dedicated volunteers. These are the people who care for the homeless, abused and unwanted boxers because they have a love and passion for the breed and believe they all deserve a second chance.
Make a Donation
The Boxer Rescue could not exist without donations from people like you. Many of our dogs coming into rescue require expensive medical treatment before they can be placed in their “forever” homes. The adoption donation is often not sufficient to cover all of the expenses. Since The Boxer Rescue is solely operated on a volunteer basis, funding is always tight; therefore, your donation small or large will go a long way in helping our dogs in need.

Meet Rocky 🐾 3 YRS 🐾 M

Rocky is 3 years old, and he really is the goodest boy in the whole wide world. If you know the boxer breed, then you will understand Rocky. He is ALL boxer… He’s a head turner and people are always stopping his foster mom so they can meet this handsome guy. He’s full of energy, and is patiently waiting for a human that shares his love of the outdoors, of running, of exploring, of hiking, of beach going… This boy is happiest when he’s moving his long legs. A 3 mile run? No problem! Keep up with Rocky, cause he can keep going.
This boy is smart… very smart. And he’s always looking to please and learn. He wants someone to teach him. Rocky will thrive in a home with structure, and continued positive based training. He just loves to make his human proud.
Do you like to snuggle? We have your guy right here! He’s an A+ snuggle buddy! Whether on the couch or in your bed, Rocky will happily keep you toasty in the winter and make you sweat to death in the summer. Velcro dog? 
He loves to play! Toss a ball, play tug, squeak some squeaks… he’s on it! Rocky is seeking a home with a nice fenced in yard that he can romp around in and play with all the toys Chewy can deliver.
Errands to run? He’s a great passenger! No complaining from the peanut gallery. He won’t rat you out if you roll through a stop sign. In fact, Rocky may be able to convince an officer to give you a warning. He’s THAT good!
Rocky is very much used to his foster being home during the day. We’d love to find a WFH forever home for him. And we know that’s difficult. He just would not do well if we put him in a home that leaves for a full work day. It’s too much for him, out of the gate, and we would hate for Rocky to come back to rescue because we didn’t put him in a situation where he’ll be successful. He is good for a few hours, after lots of exercise, and over time, his time alone can be increased.
Rocky recently met a young neighborhood boy and, in true Rocky fashion, he was a total love bug!
At this time, we are placing Rocky as an only dog. He’s still working on his making friends skills. Maybe someday… but he’s not there yet.
Rocky’s home is out there! Whoever adopts this dog is going to be so lucky. He’s pure love and loyalty on 4 legs.
Rocky is fully vetted and neutered.
He is fostered in Massachusetts! Apply for Rocky and if you’re a match, we can set up a meet and greet.

Meet Sophie 🐾 4 YRS 🐾 F
4 year old, Sophie is coming into rescue, in the hopes that her next home will be her last. She’s been bounced around a bit. The good samaritan who has her now, took her from a not great situation where she was being neglected. However, the home she’s in now isn’t a forever fit for Sophie. She needs more space, more exercise, more time, more attention, and a family with boxer experience. We know that she’s best placed as an ONLY DOG, as she seems a little dog selective and has had a less than stellar experience with another dog on the property. She is a strong girl, and could use some work with her leash walking. We’d love to see Sophie have a securely fenced in yard to run and play in. She does have a bit of fear/uncertainty around men, and needs a little time to trust that she is safe in their presence. Once she feels safe, she’s just fine. Sophie will definitely benefit from some positive based training, as it will help her bond with her new humans and get her on the right track to being the best version of herself. She’s had a tough go of it. We want her to know that good things are ahead. No kids for Sophie. Teens and older could be ok. No cats. She has a high prey drive.
She is NOT spayed. Our rescue will get that done as soon as she’s settled in a home and can recover in a calm environment.

Adopt A Boxer
We often have many beautiful boxers in need of forever homes. From puppies to seniors, they all deserve their happily ever after. Keep an open mind and an open heart, and you just might find your best friend.
Foster a Boxer
Foster homes are a critical piece of our rescue puzzle and enable us to learn as much as we can about the boxers that come to us before being placed in forever homes.
Volunteer
We are always in need of volunteers. Do as little or as much as you want to help us, help them.

Why Two Female Dogs May Not Be the Best Combination
If you find yourself considering this sort of same-sex adoption scenario, think again. As cute and playful same-sex sibling puppies are, chances are that once they mature, they will engage in some serious discussions that could turn bloody.
Is the boxer the right breed for you?
Boxers are forever puppies. They seem to never to “grow up”. So be prepared to deal with puppy behavior until they are around 3-4 years old. They require a lot of exercise and stimulation. Multiple long walks a day will help tire them out, and we all know that a “tired boxer is a good boxer”.
